No Hope?

Brooklyn Vegan just reported an unfortunate diva act at her Manhattan performance at Bowery Ballroom.

After feeling the sound was under par, Hope stormed off stage for 20 minutes, then returning to finish the set.

This is not the first occurance of her agoraphobia rearing it's head [see comments on BV blog post]

But regardless, one can't deny the nostalgia for Mazzy Star's lead vocalist.
Fade into the Warm Inventions.

Releasing her second LP post Mazzy Star [the first, Bavarian Fruit Bread in 2001] in September 2009, Through The Devil Softly is the soft whisper follow up we were all desiring.

So regardless of some stage antics, which might seem illogical with the mellow sound of her music, this is still something that a fan should experience.

She is anal about cameras/video so I'd be advised to leave it at home, unless your rebel spirit wants to snag some ninja style pictures and send them my way. :D

She will be hitting up The Texas Union Theater [Cactus Cafe] this Sunday 10.18.09.
Tickets here.
