ACL Weekend: start your puttering engine

So it's the first day of ACL and my ass is awake.
Even after the shenanigans of last night's fiesta at Beauty Bar for Art Disaster No. 9.

Good music, great friends, and yeah, that's pretty much all you need to make a good night.
Ok, lots of lonestars too. :)

Wallpaper flew in from somewhere for this party, and it was all worth it once they covered Bel Biv DeVoe's Poison.

Anyway, so ACL means a lot of things for the locals:
Party in our backyard.
Great aftershows
a music filled weekend
worst traffic EVER
tons of out of towners that just don't know [regardless if you do, we assume you don't. sorry]
BUT out of towners to play with!!! ^_^
Take the hot with the cold and for ONCE, cooler weather in austin AND I don't even have to bring a handkerchief due to the amazing new grass at zilker that I can wait to run my toes over.

But besides 1997, where can you get pearl jam, dave, and others at one festival?
What about YYYs, KOL, and the others? Oh yeah, at the 4 other festivals I went to this year

Jesus, i'm cranky.

But this is the one thing I'm all about.

Other than that, I am excited for Raphael Saadiq, The Parlor Mob, Them Crooked Vultures, John Legend, Bon Iver [i'm sorry, i can never get enough of him], White Lies, Dirty Projectors, and The Dead Weather.
Not too shabby people.

Luckily, I won't feel the need to run from stage to stage to stage to stage to infinity like I've done in the past just to get as many bands in as possible. My focus are the ones that I haven't seen live.
And this is why my ass will be TAKING IT EASY this weekend at the festival. Excuse the caps, but I need to remind myself of things sometime and that's how I do it. Motherfucking CAPS. You kinda have to listen when it's all in caps, amiright?

So it looks like I need to get moving on some errands and a hearty breakfast to set this all off right.

I leave the ones, at work, school, home, not out to venture to zilker lands of chaos, with some videos.
You know the first day is just a giant clusterfuck right? At least you don't have to brave the masses of adults con kids, strollers, lameass chairs [quit being a fucking pussy and sit your fat lard ass on the ground. pls excuse the bitch in me right now.], and just more numerous things that annoy the fuck out of me and cause it to be a clusterfuck.
