Lollapalooza: Day 2

Day two was rough.

After partying the past 2 nights, I had to be on site at Lollapalooza by 12 noon.
And let me tell you that the sun was out this day, killin bunnies with it's heat.
BRUTAL.for chicago.

So I get there early enough to catch Miike Snow.

I was sure as hell they would evaporate with those masks on the whole time, but luckily, they are smart and didn't keep them on the entire time.
I am such a fan of this band, and I HATE IT, when guys think the band name is referencing ONE GUY.
I know, that's menial, but when a broham shouts out, "yeah, mike." I want to retaliate on his degenerate asshole.
But just so you, my lovely readers are informed. Miike Snow is made up of Andrew Wyatt [Andre] and the producing team Bloodshy & Avant [christian karlsson and pontus winnberg], who are amazing siick live, btw.

And here's my favorite song, Black and Blue

They pretty much extended every great track instrumentally, i.e. here's the end of Sylvia

I wish I had more clips because this was, HANDS DOWN, my favorite set of the ENTIRE weekend. No joke.
So if Miike Snow is headed to your town, be there motherfuckers. For'real!!

Then we started melting and headed to the direct sunlight to catch Atmosphere.
Those who know me, know I'm a HUGE Rhymesayers fan, period.
And at the top of that, Atmosphere is one of my favorites.
Slug is probably one of the best storytellers I've heard and his voice stands out very nicely.

And yes, I did see them on the Wednesday prior to this, but when it's a good show, why not? Eh?
Plus Eyedea and Abilities were opening the Stubbs show, and I heart them as well.

And I love this live set up, because EVERYONE in that group is so freaking talented

Now for some vid action and my favs
"Comic books and hip hop is the genisis."

"I'm trying to find a salad balance ;)

Then it was this amazing little firecracker

AND THEN THIS HAPPENED!!!

And that is Andre from Miike Snow: here's his part

Sorry about the "MOVE" but motherfucker was all up in my shit. And as some of you know, I'm 5'1. Yeah, why my blood runs at music shows is baby jesus testing me, or something.

After that, lounged for a bit. Caught some of the Arctic Monkeys, heard Santigold [because im short and the crowd was ridick], heard LA Riots, Diplo- looking all dapper and shit and being the first, I heard, to place DUBSTEP!!! <33333

Then we ended the night drooling over Bassnectar

yes, yes, yes. unbelievable. 2nd favorite show of the weekend. As they played dubstep too. MIRA!!

That seriously made a nice ending.
But also as epic as that was, shot over to Tool for a couple minutes because that was a must.
And of course they didn't let me down either.

Then hit up some random bars with the #sltlolla crew and got crunkie before heading back to the hotel.

No pics of that shit because it was a long hot day.

Sunday is coming up next, foolio, so keep your eyes glued.
