Ok, so not entirely true. I believe there is a science underneath love, sex, and music.
But the 'science' is not what makes it great.
But that is the basis of this blog, wouldn't you agree?
Music = duh
Sex = the crassness in my language that is sometimes NSFW- Sorry, Deep. <3
Love = things I love, including music, movies, news bits, and my life.
So let's start with the basics.
Music.
Mission of Burma has a new one out.
*sigh* /swoon
Per Stereogum
Dinosaur Jr. aren't the only ones releasing stellar material in their post-reunion life: Judging from the sort of off-the-wall quality of Mission Of Burma's ONoffON and The Obliterati, there's no reason to doubt their third reformation collection Sound The Speed The Light (plus, we respect our elders). The band's fourth proper full-length since their formation in the late '70s was recorded by post-Martin Swope member Bob Weston in the band's hometown. Matador has a few details:
[T]he record is a departure from the pinned-needles roar of 2006's The Obliterati. The new album sounds far more spacious and dynamic. It is more or less divided into 4 sets or suites of 3 songs. Each suite explores a set of moods or colors, across the usual dizzying array of lyrical topics, from alcoholism to fleshly concerns. As far as "fleshly concerns," take a listen to the ecstatic, just-in-time-for-Monday chant of opener "1, 2, 3, Partyy!"
Head to the link to hear the new track.
and then this one. I've seriously got some love for this next one.
"I feel like a prized asshole. No one even mentions my casserole."
THE MOST RETARDED NEWS OF THE DAY [read, yes, i can be politically incorrect]
Perez Hilton Prances Into Warners As Predicted...
Holy effning not sweet jesus. What the eff is Waner Music doing??
Per Hypebot
What has been common gossip column gossip knowledge for months has
come true. Hollywood gossip whore Perez Hilton has been given his own
record label by Warner Music.Showing his deep intellectual grasp of the industry, Hilton told Entertainment Weekly,
"I have an ear, which is really important in the music world - to be
able to hear a hit and to be able to know who has a good song or
not…". And it appears that Hilton is part of Warner's promised 360
deal revolution, " I'm more than just an A&R person. I'm also a
marketing person. I'm also a manager."Perez's dubious claim to A&R fame is the he was an early supporter
of Mika and Lady Gaga. ""I saw the potential in her from the very
beginning before any one else." He'll announce his first signing later
this money. (I wonder where all will be revealed?)
DAMMIT. Seriously, because you thought Lady Gagmyass's fame is valid???
She's infamous due to her faux avant garde look

aka NEVER WEARING PANTS!!!
But this "artistic" take on fashion does NOT validate her music.
It's crap.
Now we get more of this produced-marketing-'artist'-by-the-big-boss-who-writes-the-check.
And I'm not saying he's not going to do the job they are hiring him to do.
Oh he will.
But that is the complete OPPOSITE of the job he needs to do, to save this world from shitty music.
FME [fuck.my.ears]
Ok, now down to what I love.
Our local scene.
This week is Austin Fashion Week, and Ultra8201 has a nice set up of the highlights of the week. Go here now for more info.
Also, what I'm looking forward to Wednesday

And on the flyer itself- it says to RSVP via email to MIAcademyTX@mirrorball.com
Per the facebook/Do512 invites, it says the RSVP on there suffice, but I'm not going to risk going out to Burnet, TX and not being able to get in.
I heart me some ZTrip and every time I see him, I walk away drenched in sweat. So come ready to get the eff down on the dance floor!!!
Then Friday, you can give out some loving to KnuckleRumblers, doing that shit.

Then Saturday

Then Sunday

Woooooooooo. It's going to be D to the O to the P to the EEEEEE!!
Fer serious, though. Be there.
loves. loves.

I agree, Lady GaGa sucks, will suck, and has always sucked. In respose to Prez Hilton saying "I saw the potential in her from the very beginning before any one else." Well, what I saw from the very beginning was shyte! Never liked her from the start...too much hype, and there is so much more talented electro acts out there with better sounding music.
