Hai2u Monday

Jesus christo

What a weekend.
Knuckle Rumbler ran things the entire time.

Friday- Adi Fest 2.5
Holy shit. These cover bands were amazing. And moments were EXPERIENCED during Manifico's cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.
They were SPOT ON, as a queen cover band.
Amazing stuff.

Photos to check out here

Saturday- Fantastic Romantic.
I really hope Prince Klassen had a damn good time celebrating his birthday this night, because I definitely did.
Orion and Klassen started the party right while I checked on the supply of dope sneakers brought by Sneak Attack*
Damaged Goods rocked it and cracked my ass up. Great performers.
Devlin and Pase turned that shit out into a full dance party.

Catch some of ulovei's photos here

*One of the greatest things the owner of Sneak Attack told me. You buy a pair, and he does not sale another one of those shoes for a MONTH.
Meaning, you're the only one rocking that shit for a month!
I think that's amazing.

Sunday- congrats to the saints. Even though I could really care less about professional football, it was nice to seem the underdogs pull it through.

AND, I did what I said I was going to do. My mfing taxes!
If you live this life of marketing/promotion/freelance/love, you know how painful taxes are. Receipts up the ahole. But they are done and I am thankful I have one less thing to worry about.

Especially because this week is going to be a bit ridick.

These sinuses better let the fuck up because Momma has places to see and people to.....shit. dance with. :D

Starting Tuesday

There's still time to RSVP to see Caspa. And for free. holy ess!

ps YOU NEED TO BE HERE IF YOU ARE EVEN A TINY FAN OF DUBSTEP.

Then Thursday you have these two bad boys
Famous local DJs

then your famous hipster DJ ready to rock Republic Live

Friiiiday aka Then the day I've been waiting for

Make sure to bring your KR flyers for the February events to get us to sign the back proving that a] you love KR events and b] you want a piece of their VIP during sxsw
details here

then Saturday *sigh*
KRS One at Scoot Inn
Nouvelle Vague at Mohawk
RJD2 at Emos
Foot Patrol at The Independent and
Rock the Casbah at The Parish

like I said before, jesus christo.

So yeah, sinuses, back the fuck off or we are going to have some fisticuffs going on!! My fist vs my face. we shall see how that one ends.

So hopefully I'll see your lovely face out this week.
Until then, shenaynay says back the fuck up!

daaayum GINA!

"loaf you like bread."

Everything In It's Right Place

Every Friday morning, I wake up and do a little jig.
Happy dance that it's Friday.

Then comes the sad realization that I still have a good 9 hours before I can proceed with my weekend plans.
Then add a wine hangover on top, and you have me today, in this very moment.

Tired, hungry, COLD, but thankful. T minus 5 hrs left.

I'm very excited about this weekend. Shits going to be ill.

Also, for the events starting TONIGHT [AdiFest 2.5] make sure to hit up KR's blog for details on some special sxsw access.
Do so here

I am currently listening to that bootleg of Radiohead's Haiti Benefit show.
Radiohead LIVE is amazing. They have great fans [myself included] and hearing the crowd participation is fantastic. Usually, that shit irritates the crap out of me, especially when I find myself singing along. But with their crowd/fans it's different. It's respectful and adds more dimension [if that's possible] to their tracks.
[side note: Thom is lending his vocals for a track on the upcoming Flying Lotus album, Cosmogramma. Shit is real.]

Anyway, listening is calming me down a bit from yesterday's nuance but also has me contemplating on what the fuck i'm doing here. With my life. With myself. To you, readers.
Answer: haven't gotten there yet.

But I do know that is no way to start your friday night. So i'm switching gears and giving you this baby.

Because everyone needs a little Eddie Murphy in their lives.****

Oh, ok, here's the good stuff

HAPPY FRIDAY!! <3

**This statement is true as long as it only involves Eddie Murphy circa 1980s ONLY.
The nutty professor et all can move his fat ass out of this movement!**

Wednesday Offerings

Happy Wednesday

It's rainy, cold, and my new tattoo is at the peeling stage.
So actually wearing stuff on top of it is just irritating.
But then again I paid for someone to do this to me, right?
DAD...LOOK AWAY!!!

Part of the half sleeve I'm working on.
Work done by the talented once San Fran, now back in Austin AJ Ruin of SideShow Tattoo

I'm just really into complaining right now.
But as my mother always said, "Do as I say, not as I do."
So get that frown off your face because I'm giving you some new tunes to add to your library.

Waiting

Love at 20: 'Waiting' (Music Video) from donswaynos on Vimeo.

I'm SUCH a fan of this album. I really am.
Then, this video comes out.
*le sigh*
I love the style of it.

If you don't have the album, YOU ARE IN LUCK!
Head here and thank jesus for making me one nice lady!

AND after MUCH thought and a trip to the dentist office, I believe it is safe to assume Jessie Spano ended up the showgirl, Elizabeth Berkley ended up portraying.
TRUF!!

Bitch be cray-cray!!

It's Friiiii-day

Geeeez. Last night was good times. Ultra8201 was glowing in the spotlight and all of the bands were great.
Then off to The Highball where TMC vs DJ Chicken George went offff.
[and i totally popped my highball cherry]

But here's a couple note to selves for everyone.
-when you receive a bruise on your butt from a softball game, please refrain from showing it off to everyone. And to those who might be shown this painful experience mark- refrain from HITTING THAT SPOT MULTIPLE TIMES!!

-DONT WALK THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET WHILE I HAVE A GREEN LIGHT, IT'S RAINING, AND YOU ARE WEARING A BLACK DRESS, AND OBVIOUSLY NOT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, YA HO-BAG.
I WILL RUN YOUR SLUTASS OVER NEXT TIME.

*sigh* I'm just sayin'.

After a bowl of pho I have recovered a bit [i burned my tongue because my hungover ass was impatient], and lining up the night.
It will involve some warm ups, a blanket/pillow combo, and this netflix dvd

Jeff Buckley- Live in Chicago

But if you are brave and have the strength of an OX- then I assume you will be running a muck, you should have plenty of options for the night.
Lest you forget to visit the peen scene for those options.

So you can start your friday night off right.

Listen to this while you get ready for your weekend parties!

And can I just say, fuck key#$$^%$^$##&^&^$@#a, you know.
this bitch.

Never will she reach Uffie status. that is all.

ps
Make sure you RSVP for Saturday- shits going to be BONKERS!!! Maybe even a fist pump or two. ;)
